The Oman Australia Cable (OAC) project is designed to provide Australia with additional internet bandwidth to help Australia meet it’s growing need for high-performance, reliable internet connectivity. The cable runs between Muscat in Oman and Floreat Beach in WA.<\/p>\n
Known as the “Great Southern Route”, the path of the cable is strategically designed to avoid disputed regions in the area and improved security, and connects Australia to Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Additionally, a future planned expansion of the Oman Australia Cable will deliver connectivity to other key locations in the Australian region.<\/p>\n
Mascot Engineering were engaged to provide a Custom Concrete Cable enclosure to the project, which was delivered on time and within budget. Mascot’s proven track record in meeting such heavy duty custom requirements is what sets us apart; particularly when designing and manufacturing for such critically important infrastructure as this undersea cable.<\/p>\n
