Mascot Engineering is one of the original manufacturers of iron covers in Australia.\u00a0 Our foundry opened its doors in 1920 producing cast iron products for Australian industry and today we continue to supply iron products across Australia and the world.<\/p>\n

We set the standard for Access Covers and frames, offering quality products that have stood the test of time. Our fabrication and assembly teams assemble two part, three part, trench runs and multiparts as well as decorative edge covers.\u00a0 Keeping control of this expertise and skill set ensures not only our quality but ensures that our lead times are maintained.<\/p>\n

Gas and Airtight Cover Range<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gas-tight covers and frames are often used to prevent odours emitting from the services below.\u00a0 However, gas-tight covers are also water tight covers and can prevent water ingress into the services also.<\/p>\n

There are a number of international standards relating to Access Covers\u2026 and whilst most of the world looks to the European Standard EN124, it is the Australian Standard, AS3996 which provides the industry and manufacturers (globally) a method of testing covers for gas-tightness and water-tightness.\u00a0 Mascot Engineering has been manufacturing in Australia since 1920 and one of the first manufacturers of gastight covers globally.\u00a0 You can find out more about the standards and testing requirements for Gast and Airtight Covers here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mascot Engineering Gas and Airtight Covers are available in solid-top or recessed in-fill and as single, two, three and multipart configurations with removable beams for complete access.<\/p>\n

Security & Non-Rocking<\/h3>\n

All Mascot Engineering Access Covers require lifting keys<\/a> to gain access, however they are also fitted as standard with a boltdown facility to help prevent unauthorised removal of the cover. All bolts are included with our access covers, however this feature also allows for the fitment of\u00a0 site specific security type bolts if required.<\/p>\n

To ensure consistent performance and durability, our range of gas and airtight iron covers are machine finished to ensure precision fit to their matching frame to extremely tight tolerances eliminating the chance of movement, noise and rocking.<\/p>\n

Integrated Levelling Bolts\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Installation of heavy F900 Covers can pose issues on site, that’s why we developed and patented our Levelling Bolt System (protected under an Australian Innovation Patent) which allows installers to adjust the frame height precisely and safely whilst sitting in the rebate.<\/p>\n

Paver Infill Cover Solutions<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Featuring a recessed, air- and gastight ductile iron cover and frame, they provide a discreet yet durable solution that preserves the aesthetic appeal of any public or commercial environment.<\/p>\n

Standards<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mascot Engineering\u2019s cast and ductile iron products are manufactured in a foundry that is ISO9001 accredited and all covers go through a rigorous quality assurance program and manufactured to load ratings set out in EN124-2.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition to quality, our foundry is also third party accredited to ISO 140001.\u00a0 This standard recognises the environmental management system that\u2019s in place \u2013 protecting the environment whilst operating sustainably for future generations.\"\"<\/p>\n
