Mascot Engineering was founded in 1920 as an Iron Foundry in the Sydney suburb of Mascot. Originally manufacturing small castings for local industries, Mascot Engineering focused on municipal castings particularly grating and access covers. Our foundry was Australia’s oldest when it was decommissioned in 1996, however the foundry continues overseas to continue our heritage with products we have immense experience with.
Mascot Engineering cast and ductile iron products are manufactured in an industry leading foundry located in India.
Our foundry places a strong emphasis on quality control and assurance, adhering to international standards and certifications to ensure that the products meet or exceed industry benchmarks. This includes compliance with standards like EN 124 (for manhole covers and gratings), ISO 9001 (quality management), and ISO 14001 (environmental management).
The focus on innovation in product design and manufacturing allows us to offer custom casting solutions to meet specific project requirements where required. This access to custom moulding and the skilled product development team that sets us apart and enables us to assist in delivering your project efficiently and as designed.
As an ethical business, we are committed to our responsibility in ensuring we minimise our environmental impact right throughout our supply chain. The foundry is no exception to this commitment and utilises environmentally responsible practices such as using recycled materials in the manufacturing process in the interest of reducing its carbon footprint as much as possible.
